Yes, the picture on the card means something. The heart image on a card may look appealing in it’s traditional shape or vaguely threatening with curving lines or its surreal anatomy, but for the Lenormand oracle deck, the only object that matters is the heart on the card.
Each cards contains an image of a scene or a symbol. These images are associated with with a set of meanings derived to provide the querant with information. New Lenormand card practitioners generally have a set of meanings they use; usually, they are memorized since the image(s) on the card may not denote the meaning. Over time, the vocabulary of the cards grow as the practitioner gains experience using the cards.
